DCS attorney will be filing for tpr by the end of this week. CW said all visits will stop as soon as this is done. The only way they will start up again is if judge reinstates them. She said this is very unlikely. Is it really unlikely? Has anyone had a judge reinstate them once tpr is filed?
They did in our case, but that is because everyone (but us) agreed to it. Visits were ended/started/ended/started so many times it was crazy. In the end, bio mom signed consents and we planned for 2 visits per year. It has been well over a year now since their last visit b/c she has not maintained contact. She refused to sign for the longest time b/c she wanted more visits, finally agreed to 2, has done nothing to see them. :(
If DCS is pushing for visits to be over, then the judge will likely agree.

Continued in our case as well, there were lots of excuses as to why, all were ridiculous. TPR took about 14 months.
Here visits usually drop down to one hour per month once TPR is filed and stop altogether once TPR is granted (even if there is an appeal) unless there is an open adoption agreement.
If we absolutely had to have them I could handle 1 hr a month. I just don't want to go back to 1 hr for 3x a week again. For one thing Mom didn't show up to a lot of them. And for another Mom just sat and text on that stupid cell phone while baby crawled around on the floor. What's the use?

We have always had to continue with the visits until TPR was actually granted. Good luck!
We had the perm hearing and they didnt even ask for visits to restart! Mom & her family have acted so ugly and have insisted they were going to ask the judge to restart them and they didnt even ask! Ugh! Now we just wait for the tpr trial
