I've heard this all my 59 years. Could it come from tenuous family relationships, instability, a lack of inherited family values? I'll bet that many adult adoptees grow up basically not knowing who the heck they are (or should be). Is it Dad (he's a guy, like me, but not really comfortable with this family member he never requested)? Big brother, who's in trouble right now? Mom, who gives her all but, alas, she can't fight your battles and Dad never taught you how to try to kill somebody. You have so many questions, big and small, about EVERYTHING, and too few answers. We soldier on, past the ADD, the depression, confusion, and we fight the good fight. But the questions and the doubt never really ends. Best thing you can do is start your own COMPLETE family and fight like hell to protect it.
