While waiting...

We've been very lucky, our doctors office does peds. We have a room set up for a child, twin bed, dresser, etc..But we will get our crib etc after we get the call that our baby is coming home. I've been making cross stich things for the baby. So far two bibs, one picture, and now I'm working on a comforter for the crib. Other than that I look when I'm out shopping, but not buying.

You definitely want to find a ped as the hospital where Peanut was born wouldn't discharge without the ped's name/address/number. We got several referrals from friends with kids and set up appointments to meet them before even matched. We went with questions, including those regarding how the handle situations with little to no medical history. We found out the first MD we interviewed has quite a few children who were adopted in his practice. We've only seen them three times, but we've never felt slighted by the Dr. Or any of his staff.As for other stuff, we pretty much did what Eagle did...AND hit all the local kids consignment sales.

Thanks for the advice! its such a hard wait and we get discouraged often, even though it hasn't been long. it's hard getting your hopes up after 8 years of dissapointments with trying to have a baby. I finished my first baby blanket today, i crochet. and my mother in law finished one too. lol. the baby will have to many blankets. my husband and i try to go down the baby aisle at stores but its so hard, we will only do it when know one else is there since we feel like we are liars or fakes for even looking since i have to Tummy to prove i belong.We may get a crib in a few months since its a pricey piece of furniture and we wont have much money after we are picked. We can put a tarp over it i guess so we can't see it haha.
