ok so I started working on filing out the I800A form. Our home study is not complete but we have one last meeting. We are using a different agency for our home study then the adoption agency. I emailed my adoption agency to ask them a couple questions about the I800A form. I received a response back from them with NO answers to the questions. Just that we should not fill it out at all until we have the guidelines from them. I dont know if anyone else had this with their adoption agency. Is this normal for agency to not want to answer questions until you are right at that specific step? I thought I would be saving some time if I had the form as filled out as much as possible. I guess I am just frustrated.
Please let me know what your questions are, and I will be more than happy to help you, as I had my I-800a approved just few months ago.
Maybe your agency is concerned that you will submit the form without all necessery documents, or maybe they want to fill out the form for you, and this is why they are not answering your questions.
I didn't have these problems with my agency :-(

Be patient and wait for your agency's guidance.
Completing the I-800A has to be done exactly right. The USCIS is extremely picky.
In Hague cases, the placement agency, which has to be Hague-accredited, must oversee the work of the homestudy agency. Your agency may not want to start advising you on the I-800A, until it sees the homestudy report, vets the homestudy provider, and is absolutely sure that document will meet Hague requirements. If there is a problem, you shouldn't even begin to think about the I-800A until everything is resolved.
The last thing you want is a denial.

I agree with Sharon, the previous poster. Both our I800A and I800 forms were filled out over the phone with our agency. The I800 especially is not an easy form to fill out and you don't want your case delayed by filling in something incorrectly.
I know it is hard....but the best thing to do it just and follow your agencies advice. I know first hand experience how picky the USCIS is. You DO NOT want your paperwork to come back because one very small thing was wrong.....happened to me and I obsessed about it forever. If it is sent back it can add weeks on the process. Be patient and wait!
