Hi,
The Temple where I work (Reform) would like to hold an Asian Shabbat for families with Asian spouses, children, etc. Any ideas for fun activities for kids, adults and families? Anyone ever been to an Asian Shabbat? Please send suggestions! Thank you!

I have a friend whose daughter spent a semester in a Jewish community in China; I can check in with her on anything ideas she might have from her time there. I think it sounds like a great idea! I wondered when you said that it is for the families with Asian family members - is it open to everyone in the shul, or just those families?

Our Temple events are always open to anyone who would like to come. We are just trying to do special events for each of the many diverse communities who form part of our diverse congregation. Next will be a South American style Shabbat! I welcome suggestions for that Shabbat too! Shabbat Shalom!
