My son is 3 yrs old has attachment issues and still wakes up for milk in the middle of the nyt its gotten less and less and now he only bugs me for 1 cup and he stopped crying whn he wakes up now he noes to Jst tap me and say mommy I want milk in a low voice but I'm wondering if I should try to pull him out of this habit or Jst let him out grow it... and I also need tips on how to do tht... also any tips on how to pull him out of my bed and into his own wud b nice... from newborn to 1 he slept in a crib but since his dad got incarcerated he has been extra clingy and refuses to sleep without me...
I would work on one thing at a time. Maybe first going from milk to water, since the milk is not good for his teeth. Once he is good with water, you can probably put a spill proof sippy cup beside the bed and he can get his own drink without waking you up. Then you can start with having him sleep on a pallet or mattress on your room floor and gradually move him back to his own be and room.

Just like every child has a different personality, each situation needs to be treated independently. If you are in the middle of a situation that is escalating, examine your approach.
