hoping4lots - does this thread seem a bit off to anyone else. The situation she is describing - 1st placement, daily 2 hr visits supervised by her in her home.
I don't know, just seems odd to me.

It seems odd to me, but I have never fostered. I notice that there are posters who seem to relate.

I've fostered for almost 10 years and only once in all that time have I ever had a visit in my home, and that time the cw also came. The visit was for the grandparents, not the parents.

It actually doesn't sound odd to me. They don't do home visits here in Texas, but so many people ont he forums have posted about having to do so much stuff with the family. I thinkin many palces they ask foster families to do things that they don't want to do or whatever saves the county $$.
