This is the second time a CW asked me to let the bparents visit in my home. Anyone else here in IN being asked to do so?
I said no but makes me uncomfortable that they are asking. I usually meet parents and am okay with that and them knowing my first name but not them coming to my home especially when it is a brand new placement.
We used to do it back in 1992 with two of our foster sons, two different families. One was a good experience. It was a young couple who came to the house twice a week for 2 hour visits. The other wasn't good. She hated us thought we were trying to steal her son so I gave her a wide berth. I found out she was stealing from us. We don't do it anymore for that reason.

We didn't but considered it with one kid whose mom needed to be present for his therapy.
After I talked more with CW I know why she asked. I actually went ahead and supervised a visit yesterday at a neutral location.
Went well, I don't really understand why he didn't get to go home after CHINS hearing. Not sure what else, his mom can do with him out of home.
