reconnecting with birth sister

I say follow your heart. As long as you want to call, and she wants that, too, then go ahead and call. Yes, it may be awkward, but isn't it always when you are getting to know someone? I do suggest, though, that you do it at a time and place when you won't be rushed, interrupted, etc. so that you can talk as long as you both feel comfortable with. The basis for my advice is that I reconnected with my two sisters about 3 weeks ago. Of the three of us, I'm definitely the shy one, and though I wanted to call, I was also very worried about it being awkward. But in the end I did call, and was so glad I did. It was awkward at first, and I suspect it will be for a while, until we actually meet and spend some real time together. At the same time, it was such a dream come true for me that the awkwardness didn't really matter.Again, do what is in your heart. :-)
