My husband and I are trying to adopt siblings from Cameroon. We have heard that in the Francophone provinces a couple must be childless but that is not the case in the Anglophone provinces (we have two of our own children already). Does anyone know if this is true?
The U.S. State Department has authoritative information on adoption from Cameroon on its website, at CAMEROON | Intercountry Adoption.
Based on the State Department website, it appears that infertility requirements are imposed only if the prospective adoptive parents do not meet the country's minimum age requirements -- one parent at least age 40, or one parent at least age 35 and the couple married for at least ten years.

Hello there,
Cameroon does not have a seperate law for the English and the other for the french parts of the country. I will suggest that you consult with an attorney who knows the law. beware of fraudulent claims. cameroon is a very small country. they are not a federal government and so there is one central law that applies to all.
