Jen, I too have been a search angel for years, the best site I know of now is GS Adoption Registry andgssearchangels. html You can work as a team or work Alone, depending on the info and the client I like working alone, I try not to get tooo involved in my cases so I keep my Id private. Adoption is a touchy subject in this day and time and most people really just want ansewers and are not prepared for the answers they get, birth m before '60s do not want to befound, do not ever take sides, adoption is not alway as it seems K

Do not make any promise to either side or anyone, and do not take money from either side and do not get tooo involved, you are providing a free service to your client, you can not be a babysitter, its like fighting over a will people can get real crazy, and stories change, Just some info I have learned over 30 yrs. of doing searches
Hi, I just started my search for either bmom or bdad or family and the only info I have so far is my bm or bd's surname at my birth, my date of birth, city and state and hospital, approximate time of birth, final adoption decree with docket number, name of judge and name or attorney. Do not have first name of either birth parent. is this enough to begin a search? I sent off for non-identifying info from florida but have not received yet. thanks for any help you can give me.

I have been looking for my birth mother and/or any other birth family members for about 23 years. I was born on 06/11/1961 in Utah at the LDS Hospital. I had a "search angel" (I guess you would call her that) who looked at all of the information I had, which included non-identifying information that the LDS Social Services was willing to give me. They told me that if I could answer just one of three questions, they could match me up with my birth mother. Because I didn't know any part of my birth mother's name, her date of birth, or her street address at the time of my birth, my only other option was to hope that the adoption registries (I have filed paperwork with all I am aware of) would work or that I could find someone who would have access to the records from the LDS Hospital Maternity Ward on the day of my birth and could see which women my doctor delivered that day and at the time he stated as the time of my birth. I have felt a tremendous void in my life for as long as I can remember and now I am medically disabled with little or no knowledge about issues that either I or my children and grandchildren should be worrying about. I believe in my heart that my mother wants me to find her (if she is still alive), the records from LDS Social Services indicate that she would have kept me had she been able to do so. I have no money to hire someone, but would happily pay for any small costs that would be accrued in searching for my mother and/or other family members. I'm not sure how this all works, other than what I have read on Adoption.com, but I would love to hear from you or anyone else who would be willing or able to help me find my loved one(s)!

Hello, I am trying to help a college friend locate his daughter that was adopted out 18 years ago, he believes through the LDS adoption worker. This took place in Riverside County California. Here is the identifying information I have gathered from him. I am a social worker in another county and just thought I could help him out. 'Fathers Name is Malcolm Gray Age 38 Lived in Corona, CaFrom my friend Malcolm:Thanks for your concern and efforts with this situation. This is what I know. She was born 7/28/94 in Corona I believe. The adoption was through Riverside County and my name and her mother's name, which is Bonnie Long are on the birth certificate. I initially started with a birth certificate search and tried to expand from there. but that didn't go anywhere. Then I contacted some PI's but they all had opened ended price ranges which I viewed as scams. Yes, I'm trying to find her. Thanks for any direction you can lead my in helping him find his daughter.
