Does anyone know what the waiting period is in CA for a private placement adoption? We are considering a potential situation there (we are from NY) and I don't know what the waiting period is for the birthmom to changer her mind, adoption to be final, etc. Thanks in advance!

For an independent adoption, the revocation period is 30 days, and I don't think papers can be signed until after the mother is discharged from hospital. It's also mandatory to disclose your indentifying information to the mother.
