Okay, I was at work, talking to a colleague when I got a call about an emergency placement of a baby boy. He had JUST been removed from his home.
I listened to the voicemail, thought about it and THEN called back. (I have found this to be the best way). I wound up saying "No." Sounds like this is potentially a very short term placement and I am not set up for that. Plus, I think it would be really confusing for my son.
But of course, I am having my regrets. I had been moaning about not having any calls, then I got one and I turned it down.
I have to remember that I have been in this game for a while and I know what I can handle and which situations to turn down. I want a longer-term placement, perhaps leading to adoption.
It's just now my head is all full of babies!
