I am writing a letter to the court to let the judge know how our FD is doing. I want to include pictures and just put a few paragraphs together.
Has anyone done this? I am not sure how to start it or even what to write, but was told it would be really good to show to the judge.
Any ideas would be appreciated!
Just write about your child: how old, how big, new interests, new activities. Then things you enjoy doing together and then many ways you just love this kid so much :)

Thanks. That is what I figured I would include, along with pictures (how do I choose just a few? We have thousands LOL) She really is doing so much better. The SW was here yesterday and was astounded at the change in here in just 6 1/2 months :)
I just was not sure if there was a certain format, or how long to make it. Don't want to bore the judge either with my mama rantings. :p
Write about the challenges the child has or had, what they were like on arrival. Where were they delayed? Have you resolved that delay, or are you working on it, if so with professionals? How many appointments/week if there are some? That is, don't paint a perfect picture, with all due respect, a perfect picture could be used by DCF to "shop" the child for relative placements.
Choosing pics. I've included pics before. I printed 6/page, I believe. I hand-wrote a brief description under each. As "Where's that toy?" How to choose: First, as time goes by, when I see a picture I *love*, I drag it into a separate folder. That way I'm searching thru that folder, not the thousands. I have different subject folders as: projects, travel, gardening, "amazing light", winter, school. So if 30 pics of building 1 snowman... 1-2 stand out as good (with luck!). Those go into "winter" or "projects" or both. Pics aren't totally organized, but this helps! Do try to move the best each time they go into computer.
AFA choosing pics for judge, I wanted to cover different areas, like zoo or etc. to show we did events; projects; shots that showed my home was normal, nice, neat, clean; child doing art /projects, etc. Overview of child's life.
