I've never understood the need for people to qualify their not calling a bmom "mom". Why not just say "Looking for the woman who placed me" and leave it at that? I mean, it's pretty clear and yet not offensive, kwim?

I was really tempted when I changed it to put birth mom or first mom, just to bug him, but I acted like a grown up and just changed it to woman who gave birth to me. I did wonder if he is facing some sort of health issue that's got the bee up his butt. People act stupid when scared, especially guys.
