Hello,
My Darling son has has been home for 2 months now and it is time to send his bmom the first update letter. I've never done this before and was wondering if anyone had any tips for me to help me from making any major faux pas.
Any advice would be appreciated,
thanks,
Pikaboo27
Talk naturally -- like you would to your mom about how amazing baby is. Remember birth mom wants to know the little stuff (like how that poop went flying across the room) or how he likes his tummy rubbed when he is crying. There is no one else on the face of the planet who is as interested in him as you and his other mom ... so share the things you would wish to know.

It is hard; I'm starting to write my third update and still struggle. I'm not sure how often you are writing, but some of the difficulty for me is how to write a letter that covers a long-ish span when so much about him changes every week!
You might want to try posting in the birthmother's forum as well; I know people have done that in the past to get feedback.
