We need information on finding a child that has aged out of the system. Does anyone have experience locating one of these children? We have spoken to a private investigator, but he would have difficulty finding a person that is more than likely homeless (thanks, CPS) and has never had anything in his own name. Suggestions?

If you know the area the child was living in when they left foster care, you might check with homeless shelters and other facilities and outreaches in that area. Maybe send a letter and a picture to some of them. Their rules might prevent them from giving you information, but might allow them to give the child your contact information or maybe they would help in other ways.
