I 've started having 'health issues', so I sent the
info to an employee at the Catholic Soc. Services,
she wants $300 to 'search' for my son .
Heck, all she has to do is look in the file for
name(s), addresses etc.
I told her no. I 'll just keep on praying that my
son & I will find each other ! :-)
This is PROOF about greedy people, & MONEY
being the root of all evil !

My sibling was adopted through Catholic Charities. They wanted $50 to prepare a non-identifying info report.
I was told that old files (from the 60's) were not computerized making the records search manual. The fee also included the research request.
What I got was a report (which gave more clues than I'd previously had). The report clues are what helped me find my sibling.
What info are you requesting? The non-id info? Search assistance?
From my request I was told that I didn't have to pay the fee if I could not afford it. It said either 1. pay what you can or 2. send a letter explaining why you can't pay. The Diocese will at least consider reducing or waiving the fees. Not guaranteed but worth a shot:)
