Hi,
My wife and I are UK citizens currently living in Vietnam. We both hold resident visas and will be living here for the next few years.
We would like to adopt a new-born child from Vietnam. We believe we are in a position to process an adoption locally whilst we reside here. We're wondering if anyone has any advice on a starting point for this process?
Cheers,

Be careful. Vietnam is now becoming Hague-compliant. Non-Vietnamese people adopting from Vietnam will need to comply with Vietnam's laws, the laws of their country of citizenship, and Hague requirements. It doesn't matter whether or not you live in Vietnam temporarily.
Also, remember that adoption actually has two components -- the adoption, itself, and immigration. As you will want to bring your child to your home country at some point, you need to be sure that your country will permit a visa to be granted to him/her.
