3 months and still no placement calls

It has been almost a month for us since our last placement. We received three calls right after they left but they weren't a good fit. Since then none. I am hoping we get some before the holidays. Otherwise I am really going to have WAY to much food.

What county are you in? We are in Hamilton. I looked at the statistics on the state's website and knew that it might be a while before we got a call. We got our first call on November 7. It was from another county in our region. Are you willing to accept children from other counties? A word of caution...you might want to talk to your own Specialist before accepting from Marion County. We are not allowed to accept from them right now because things aren't going very smoothly in that county.

I waited a month for my first placement. At first I said long term only, girls 2-8 but I changed that to short or long term boy or girl 1-8 and received 2 calls the next day. You might think about your specifications. I have not yet put myself back on the list for calls but anticipate doing that immediately following Thanksgiving.

I'm from Washington County (Region 18). Yes we do accept placements from other counties. Hope we get another call soon.
