Guess who spent the night somewhere this weekend and the worker assured me ALL APPROPRIATE PROTOCOL WAS FOLLOWED and turns out she was a busy girl! Sexting, sending nude photos of herself. Worker found out, is confronting her tomorrow.
Yep it was all us and that would NEVER have happened here because we did NOT allow internet access wo us sitting right there and we did NOT allow her to stay other places. Friends had to stay here! Hmmm foster care sure is keeping her safe!
Your case breaks my heart. I don't even know what to say === I mean, it is not unexpected, but it is so, so sad. I am just really sorry. I know your mama-heart is really hurting for your daughter, and the family you thought you had.

It is sad to feel glad your kid screwed up bbut maybe now they will GET WHY we had to be soooo strict!
Since when are children in foster care allowed to do sleepovers at unlicensed homes? We were told here that it is not allowed, period!
And, nude photos? Now she has committed a sex crime. If she is prosecuted she will have that "sex offender" title with her forever! Ugh!
Gosh.
Your subject line really says it all.
But other than the worker confronting her tomorrow, where are the foster parents in this?
Mel.
Sassafras,
I'm glad the truth is coming out now. Maybe the CW will start listening to you.
I got pregnant within a month of entering the foster-care system at the age of 16. Do I need to say more, lol? My foster mother was an alcoholic who passed out every night by 8 p.m. It really didn't matter whether she was unconscious or not, I was allowed complete freedom to do whatever I wanted, whenever I wanted. Not a very wise move on her part back in 1971 on the beaches of Southern California. I never did figure out how in the world she ever got licensed to begin with. The house didn't have any heat, and I was only allowed to eat one pot-pie every night for dinner. When I became pregnant, I started panhandling down on the boardwalk every day just to nourish my baby and buy prenatal vitamins. I never did get the clothing allowance that was included in her monthly stipend...and never was able to scrounge up enough money for maternity clothes. I was lucky, though -- peasant tops were in fashion that year, and thick rubber bands work magic with loosening up Levi's and corduroys, lol.
I do hope that the social workers gets on top of this with your daughter. She has a lot to learn in life...

The worker said SRS probably won't do much because all involved were under 18. I dk where the foster parents are with it. The worker is supposed to touch base with me after she talks to my daughter. My daughter doesn't know they know.
Here it is up to the foster parent's discretion about sleep overs, peers etc. The worker was like they followed protocol. I said well protocol sure worked huh? That is why we were so strict here and she could not stay anywhere else. Her friends had to come here where computers, internet etc is locked down.
Yes we do feel vindicated. Everyone kept saying it was only a matter of time but really I did not think it would be THIS Soon. Plus she had a job and quit after two days? I will bet anything she got FIRED!

In this case vindication is great. It's the old adage of "give a person enough rope". It's sad that it has to happen this way, but as usual, unless you're in it, others can't understand a kid with RAD. They can not and will not get it. Hopefully this event will be what is necessary for the foster family to think about why all those restrictions were in place at your home. They got conned big time.
Glad that others are seeing her true colors but sad that she's getting away with so much because they don't see her true colors.
