HELP!!!! Fiancee's birthson is ignoring him

If you are not his friend on facebook, your messages are going into a folder labeled "other", and not his regular message inbox. He is also not being notified that a message has arrived. Most people don't even *know* they have an "other" folder, let alone how to access it. You'll need to contact him another way.

Kittykat, are YOU the one sending your fiance's son messages through Facebook? If so, I really think your fiance should be handling this. At this point in time, you are no relation at all to the young man. If his birth father wants to have a relationship with him, then he needs to be the one to contact him. DianeS is absolutely correct about the "Other" folder problem at Facebook. I recently told my brother to check his "Other" folder when I found out he wasn't even aware that it exists. He found literally hundreds of unseen messages waiting for him.

My fiancee has trouble spelling so he tells me what he wants to say and I type it for him. He asks me to do this and I do. SO BASICALLY HE IS CONTACTING HIM HISSELF. Also he asked me to send a message under my name as hi son and I were very close 14 years ago when the young man was 4 yrs old. He thought that it might help.

Just an update: Thank you all who replied just wanted to let you know that my fiancee's son finally accepted our friend requests on facebook and even gave us his address and asked us to write him. So all is well and it was a great reunion. Thanks again.:thanks: :cheer: :woohoo: :happydance: :)
