Hi everyone I have a few questions and I hope you all can help me .. Well let me tell you a little about myself so maybe it will be easier to understand... so I am a mommy of 7 kids ages are 19, 17, 16, 15, 12, 10, & 8 which 5 we adopted.. We have all decided as a family we want to try to foster again and possibly adopt.. We have a 6 bedroom home so we have the bedroom space..My kids are great kids all honor roll students and are very good and we feel we can handle 1 more .. Is it possible to do foster care?? Thanks guys
Sometimes the number of children who are permitted to live in a foster home is restricted - that's bio, adopted, and foster together. Sometimes to 6, sometimes to 8, maybe even other numbers.
The best way to find out is to call your local Department of Human Services (or Child and Family Services, or whatever your area calls it) and find out from them.
I wish you success!

It's worth a phone call. Is your 19 year old still at home? Remember that their are exceptions to every rule. A lot of times you can get more leeway so don't be afraid to call around. Call some FFA's too as they might be able to help license you for more.
