Hi, I'm sure this thread has happened before, but...
We just adjusted Cricket's adderall and his days are awesome. He has so much control over himself and his self-esteem benefits. BUT, he is having increased sleep disturbance. Not walking or terrors or anything, just awake more often during the night and having trouble going back to sleep. I'm REALLY not looking to add to his medication regimen - I have enough reservations as is, evidenced my all the above justification - but I want him to be able to get good sleep. We already have a consistent nighttime calming routine with bath, stories, and lullabies. He has a nightlight and and anchoring stuffy. What else natural do you do with your kids on stimulants to help them get a good night's sleep that's natural? We're headed to the doc today, and of course I'll ask the professional, but she tends to be a little scrip-happy. I prefer this group of experts. :o

We do melatonin at night when my son is having a hard time falling asleep due to taking adderrall.
We also use melatonin. Our pediatrician recommends it and actually uses it for her own child who is on Adderall as well.
Thanks all. Yeah, melatonin was docs first recommendation, but when I asked for a non-med alternative, she recommended milk before bed. We'll try that first unless we hear other great ideas here, and I'll read up on melatonin in the meantime.
Millie- he used to take short acting at 8 and 3. We switched to xr, once daily at 8.
