Does anyone know the process for adoption dissolution in Texas? We are just checking to see if it is even an option for us and how it works.
You need to check with a lawyer. Some states do not allow it. However, there are ways to rehome a child and lawyers and agencies that will help you do that-but again, you have to know the law in your state.

I have helped many families go through the dissolution of adoptions. I'm not an attorney or work for any agency/attorney. I have been through the dissolution of adoptions in our own family and am glad to help others who've found themselves in similar situations.
It IS possible to dissolve an adoption in any state, but you will need to find the family yourself or through an agency/attorney or someone like me who can put you in touch with other families who are open to adopting through a dissolution.
If you think I may be able to help, please feel free to pm me.
Sincerely,
Linny
Linny,
Thank you for the note.
At this point, I am just gathering information and wanting to know if it is even possible and, if so, how it would work. We are not sure what we would want to do, if dissolution really is an option. I have heard that we might have to declare ourselves "unfit" parents and that CPS and a judge would be involved and that our biological children could potentially be at risk. We live in Texas. Do you know any of this? I have been told I will have to contact a texas family law attorney for answers. Thank you.
