I've searched attach.org, the Nancy Thomas therapist list, and even my own insurance's Web site and can't find anyone closer than 3 hours who takes our insurance.
Does anyone know of another list I can check? I've only found one AT in our town, but she didn't have any luck with my defiant middle child (14 now), and gave up on her since she refused to "work" in therapy. (Plus this AT used a gentler approach, talking FOR my child and just encouraging me to be patient with her. My patience is wearing pretty thin after 8 years of this.)
Getting pretty desperate as we're starting to run out of time before she's unleashed on the world.
Thanks!

Those are pretty good sites for attachment therapists possibilities, so it might be your unfortunate luck to not have any nearby.
One suggestion is to check out About ATN - Attachment & Trauma Network, Inc.
I don't know if they have a list of therapists persay, but if you contact them, I believe they will be able to help. They have a big resource of support and information regarding therapists and a big membership of parents raising kids with RAD/trauma/attachment issues.
Thanks Millie and Crick!
Unfortunately I learned today that that ONE therapist (3 hours away) is no longer in-network anyway, so back to the drawing board. Hmpf!
I'll check the ATN site.
We tried EMDR with our old (gentler) AT, but she was very new at it. Maybe if I find someone more experienced, it could work for my kiddo. Thanks for the tip!
