I have since married but for the life of me I can't find the divorce decree am I going to need this information for the LW tommorow? I am so upset over not finding it and I know is somewhere in my house.
Has anyone had this come up at all?

The problem is it was in Puerto Rico and they take forever an a day to send it out or even be able to get a copy it would be months before they release it
This is why I never mentioned it. It was 20 yrs ago(at the time of psmapp) short and never had any kids together.

I had to give them a copy of it. They gave me a certain amount of time to send in any paper work that I didn't have. So, just tell them why you don't have it & explain that you can request one & I would think they'd be able to work with you. This sort of thing happens all the time, so it's not a deal breaker.
Glad you found what you needed! :cheer:
My husband had previously been married and they did not request a copy of his divorce paperwork... in fact they did not even ask us for our marriage certificate...
Then again we used his ex-wife as one of our references... not sure if that made a difference ;)
Yeah no they asked for mine and they did ask for marriage certificate :flower: Hey is there like a chat room i this place if not we should ask for one :coffee:

I had to have mine too..... If u ever have a question feel free to PM..... We could always become facebook friends or something if u wanted to chat
I hated that even for DIA I had to provide my divorce decree. I mean that was over 10 years ago and I still have to keep pulling that thing out.
I've got it in the fireproof safe now so at least I can find it when I need it. It'd be so nice not to have that mistake constantly thrown in my face though. :-)
Glad you found yours!

Ain't that the truth!! lol i HATE digging that thing out and dusting it off...i just want to forget the whole deal.
I hate it too. I had to get another original as that's what was needed. But I've been divorced over 25 years. What does it matter?
