I want to adopt my stepson. He's 5 yrs old and I have been with him since he was 6 mos. old. His mother and I have been married for 5 yrs now. The biological father is willing to sign over his parental rights to the mother. I'm wondering where i need to start? Is there a simple form to fill out? My son is mine in everything but name and it doesn't make sense that there would be a long drawn out process. any help is greatly appreciated.
