So I recently posted in the support forum about the fact that my partner and I were placed with a newborn from the hospital about three weeks ago. Her case looks like it will eventually go to adoption, but it looks like it's going to be a long process. We're in LA county.
We knew when we took her that she has three other siblings, but knew nothing else. We recently found out that all three of the other ones have just recently had RU services ended with bios. We still don't know where they are placed, but it doesn't sound like they are in an adoptive placement.
Long story short, we would love to take the additional 3 siblings so that all 4 can stay together, but we only have a two bedroom house. Since our current FD is only three weeks old, she can stay in our room for another year. But the other three would have to share a room until we could sell our house and move (which we are MORE than willing to do). We obviously wouldn't want to stay here with that many kids!
Has anyone ever heard of a temporary waiver on the bedroom sharing? All siblings are female, so the opposite gender room sharing rule wouldn't be a problem.
I have a feeling it would be a stretch to get them to allow this, but we would hate for the siblings to be split up if it wasn't necessary!
Thanks everyone for your advice. :)

I would check with the cw. The most they can do is tell you no exception, but they may say yes. You never know until you ask.
Any luck? We have a sibling set, M/F and got a waiver because they needed to share a room. I think you could get one if they want the siblings together.

Thanks everyone for your responses! We have been waiting on licensing to approve us having 4 children in our home. But our social worker and the LA county social worker seems to think there will be no problems.
We have our first meeting with the siblings next week! Can't wait. :)
