My husband & I met a boy at an adoption fair on Saturday. He did not have anyone else speaking to him, and has been on the TARE website (Texas state website) for a while. We spoke with his caseworker and it appears we are a great fit for one another.
My question is, do they always have to have a RAS? What if no one else submits their homestudy, can they make a decision based off of one homestudy?
They will still have a RAS, but it may be just to go over your specific homestudy (not with any other potential families involved). If the caseworkers agree it is a good match, it will be in your court to move forward after you read the case file.
