I have a cousin that has had is baby taken into the care of DSS, I offered my assistance and my home. DSS decided my home was perfect, he is saying "NO" he does not want her to go to my home. Can this affect her being placed in my home.
The common answer on these boards is that it depends on your County and case. Though kinship seems universally preferred by CPS offices everywhere.
Does CPS Know he objects?
I am currently fostering my cousins baby. She has told everyone with ears that she does not want her child with me except myself and CPS. CPS has no idea of her objections.
Sorry I don't have an answer for you.
