So this morning was our final home inspection...about an hour before the cw came one of our smoke alarms starting beeping. Fortunately we had a spare 9V battery so that was fine. Then since the temp dropped to 37 overnight we decided to fire up the furnace to warm the house up from 62... well the furnace wouldnt turn on. My hubby worked on it for 45 minutes...nada! So we turn on the gas fireplace to take the chill out of the downstairs, call the furnace company that installed our brand new furnace 9 months ago and pray we dont have to do another inspection because of the furnace. So i was trying not to freak out but things went well. The cw didnt ask why it was a bit chilly upstairs and we finished our interviews and inspection. Now 5 hrs later the furnace man find a bird in our furnace air intake! Well at least its working and we are almost ready to take kiddos!!!
Haha, it is always something! Wait until you have 5 sick kids, a house that has not been cleaned since kid number 3 got sick nearly a week ago, and a case worker drops by because 'she was in the neighborhood.' Oh yes, your life is about to become so much more fun lol. Glad the furnace was an easy fix and the inspection went well.

Well prob won't get surprise inspections. We are out of county and they won't drive an hour to our house and risk us not being home. Our last county didn't do a single surprise visit in the 22 months before our daughters adoption for the same reason. But that sounds like a lot of fun. The last 2 interviews we've been babysitting a friends 2 year old and the messier our house got the more the cw said our house was ready for another kid lol. She's pretty cool though
