Hi Everyone,
I'm relatively new to this forum but had a question pertaining to the parental termination process. My husband and I have been waiting to adopt a sibling set who have been in care for 18 months as of now. Proceedings are under way for TPR and they just ordered a parenting eval of the bio mom. It's being reviewed in February, and TPR tentatively in April. I'm just looking for any information, advice, stories from any of you who have gotten to this point in the process as it's very nerve wrecking. This is taking so long!

Is there a time frame that bio parents can file to appeal a TPR?
It may vary from state to state. Here, they have 30 days after the ruling to file an appeal.
It's 30 days in our state too..right now they are completing this parental assessment, documenting a lot of broken promises...and everyone who has ever worked with these children, and with the mom, do not want them home. So hopefully their request will be honored as in May they'd be in care for 2 years. It's time for them to have their forever home with us I'd hope.
