Hi, my dh and I are adoptive parents of 3 boys and we're now beginning the process to become a foster home for medically fragile infants ages birth to 12 months.
I know we have to have a bed and a dresser for each placement we are approved for. Do the cribs need to be full size or can they be mini or portable sizes? We have space in our room for 2 cribs as long as they are smaller ones.
Also, I pretty much know what general items we'd need to have on hand for infants but can someone advise what special things I should have for the special needs ones?
Any info appreciated!

Thank you, Smarty! That's quite a list. I've been watching the resale shops and Craigslist and collecting some of these things one by one. When I see something I can use, I nab it Servnjah, there's weird stuff happening with my settings. Everything is enabled so not sure why I can't receive pm's but I pm'd you my email address.

It is area dependent. We can use pack and plays for cribs here, and I have done that for one kiddo for a few months.
We are old school, so we do not buy much outside of blankets, a moby wrap, a stroller, and portable swing. You can find a ton of cute things to spend money on though if you like. Most of the extra items I bought ended up being clutter and were donated, so I would just buy as you see a need.
Check your state standards for beds. If you are taking medically fragile then they will likely fit in a rock-n-play. I like it because it helps with reflux because they are propped up while sleeping, and it's portable. it counts as a bassinet in my area. We can't use pack-n-plays for a bed, but the rock-n-play is okay.
