We just came back from "into the woods". One of my close friends recommended it and took her 8 year old. It was awful. Prince Charming cheats on Cinderella right after the wedding and Johnny Dep as the big bad wolf had pedifile inuengos? My kids are tramatized. I'm not sure they will be able to look at Cinderella without thinking about this. There should be some type of warning.
We use a site called, "Plugged In," that gives reviews, before watching movies with our kiddos. Don't need any surprises. ;)

Our local theater did a production of this several years ago---my friends and I paid $20 a ticket to see it and ended up walking out because it was so offensive on different levels. I saw the trailers for the movie and thought well that is one that I will NOT be seeing!
I took my daughter to see it over the holiday. Unfortunately I returned home to have a discussions about real men don't cheat and fathers don't run of and leave children in the woods. Thank god she didn't catch on to the instant pregnancy thing lol. That would have made our talk much longer. I definately wouldn't do that again.
I blindly trusted it because it was Disney and because my friend recommended it and was sending her own child. My friend is very careful and conservative, it just never crossed my mind not to trust Disney.

Also even though it is Disney, it involves fairy tales which can be very dark in themselves.
