Hello there,
I'm completely new. We went into this wanting to foster/adopt a child younger than our youngest. We have 3 boys aged 17,15,12 and a 7 year old girl. We have had over 20 calls in the last few weeks with none working out. Today we got a call for a girl turning 9 this Tuesday. She will probably go to adoptions. She is older than what we planned for. 2 years old older rather than 2 years younger than our daughter. It kind of threw me off guard but then I thought this could be a good thing? Does anyone have success stories similar to this situation with the ages? I'm concerned about my 7 year old suddenly having an older sister. She is coming for an overnight Saturday night. Talked with her current foster mom today for over an hour. She has had her 2 months, she normally keeps and has teenagers, and now that this little girl is headed for adoptions she wants her out.
