I'm 53, female. I was adopted from the Kansas City Crittenton Center in March 1962. It was a closed adoption with Catholic Charities.
I hardly think about it, until it came up in my adoptive mother's history. She had ovarian CA, and her mother had ovarian CA. When my insurance denied my BRCA testing twice, I realized I needed atleast my medical history. I've thought about it here and there, doing a search, then I don't think about it. But I want to know my medical history. Atleast I should be able to have access to the medical history.
I'd love to have a search angel. I have no idea how to get one. I live in Missouri.
Kind of late to the party, but were you aware that you can get your original birth certificate through the Missouri Dept of Vital Statistics and Senior Crvs. The fee is $15
