It took us 3 years to get him thou. My advice if your going thru the state is to be patient. It may take awile but it is well worth it. We did not have to pay anything. We went thru the legal office on base and they took care of everything having to do with the courts and finalizing. If you do decide to go thru the state, My best advice to you is "stick to your guns" about what you are willing to accept. We said no child older than 4 and we told them what healt problems we would accept, no acception. It took us awile but we got our son. Good luck to you.

I just don't want to get a baby and then lose that baby. I don't think that we are going to be stationed in Florida much longer than a year either.
