We both work full-time and would continue to do so out of economic necessity (we're comfortable but not wealthy). I could take off three months or so with an adopted child, but not permanently. Will that be held against me? We are open to international adoption or a child up to age 5 or so. What do you think?

After that, he stayed at home with my sister caring for him for a couple of more months, and then he started at a daycare center. As far as I know, continuing to work isn't considered a drawback at all. Good luck!!
