Earlier this month the new Prime Minister of Romania reinstated the moratorium the Romanian court had lifted, imposing a freeze on Romanian adoptions until Oct. 8, 2002. Next week, the prime minister will be meeting in Washington with VP Cheney and Colin Powell. If next week's meeting in Washington fails to spur a change there is still hope that in the Romanian Supreme Court meeting schedule on Nov. 20 to hear the case of banning adoptions.

Please write letters and encourage your friends and relatives to write letters of support. There are nearly 5,000 Romanian children in limbo, including an adorable 14 month old boy which has been matched with my daughter and son-in-law.
