Try social services or look in the phone book under adoption - you will need to determine the type of adoption, domestic, international, older child, biracial. Some good books are "Dear Birthmother", "The Open Adoption Experience" "Children of Open Adoption" - those are the 3 at the top of my list I have more though - Amazon.com is a great place to find them, they have a very limited, and not very helpful section at Barnes & Noble... We have been thinking about adoption but we have put it aside right now because we got orders to McConnell AFB, KS so we need to get settled before we start any process. Have you seen the website? It is local and has waiting children and some good links! Hope this helps! Good Luck!
