Yesterday I saw this story posted in one of the Facebook groups I am in. The caption talked about how upsetting the story was. It said how horrible the parents were for taking what should have been a private moment and exploiting it. I had not seen it that way at all. What do you think? Larger than life memory or exploitation?

In this case, I spoke with the mother briefly. I didn't ask her if she had discussed it with the kids before posting it, but I got the impression that she would have taken their feelings into consideration. She is a long time foster parent and said ultimately hoped sharing it would encourage more people to consider adoption.
I know people will look for what people do wrong constantly--especially when it comes to raising a family. I think what this family did was super cute and it seemed appropriate for them. I think every family decides what level of privacy they would like.
