Hello,
I am a 37 yr old single father with a seven year old son. I have a full time job in education and am an attentive parent who is very good to my child. I have always wanted a son AND a daughter but at this point in my life I am thinking adoption might be the most realistic route at completing the family I hope for. I know that single males have a pretty easy time adopting sons, but wonder what the likelihood of adopting a daughter is. My son very much wants a sibling and I would like to make that happen for him before he is much older.
Thanks!
that may be tough. If you go through foster care, it may be easier. It's not fair but there's a bias against single men (from what I've read). But going through foster care may do it. They can't say "no" without a valid reason.
