Our family friends have been fostering two little kiddos for the past 6 months. Our friends were notified that the kids will officially be going up for adoption. We are very much interested in adopting them, So we began the process to become foster parents to adopt them. The big problem is we currently live full time in our RV and where told they couldn’t accept the RV for fostering since our home doesn’t have a permanent address as a standard house or apartment.
My husband and I live stationary in our RV and have no plans to travel or move it soon. It’s also a new RV, fully livable with all the necessary amenities and bunk beds for each one of the kids. We live in our travel trailer because we enjoy and not due to financial constraints. So providing financially for these children wouldn’t be an issue.
Is fostering in an RV known territory for anyone here? Do we give up on the possibility to adopt them or is there still a possible way to do it with our unconventional living situation?
If you can afford it could you move to a small apartment until the adoption is finalized? Once adopted the children are yours just like they would be had you birth them so if mom and dad wanna live in an RV so be it. 😀
