Hi my partner was born SEONG JANG HOON in 1984 in Seoul, South Korea to a KIM, Mee ja. Bio father was not stated in birth documents. Adoption was through eastern child welfare society. My partner was adopted around 6 months old and brought to Australia.
DNA testing has been done and uploaded to multiple databases but no matches so far. I am searching on behalf of my partner because while he is curious of course to learn about his heritage and family history, it is an emotional and taxing thing to take on. So with his permission, I’m attempting in the background.
It does seem though that unless bio mother is also searching, it feels very much like it will be pointless. DNA results have shown nothing, and there is no search results of her looking such as these forums.
What else can be done to help make that connection? Or at least the option to be one
