I am needing help with some information you may have. I have recently found out that I am probably an international adoption. I have always been told that I am not. All the offices I have talked to have all said that is what it sounds like to them. I was born 9/25/63, in Nuerenburg , Germany. My dad was in the the Army, stationed in Ansbach. My mother was with him. They are both US citizens and always have been. When I was 3 they had me naturalized and I recived citizenship ( they had to wait until I could say the pledge). My question to you is what do you know about military adoptions, how would I research this further, do you have any other people that this may have happend to? Unlike you I only had my papers I recived here and a vague shot record. My mother is very defensive and said it was a special situation. My dad has no clue. I am not on record in the states or at the consulate in Germany where I should have been registered. I have to replace my papers so that I can renew my license. Sorry this is so long but I am very desperate to find out the truth. (please excuse the spelling) Any info you could give me I would appreciate. There are pictures of my mom being pregnant...so who knows. The military has not been any help to me at all. Germany (offices) suggested that possibly their child died in birth they were able to adopt quickly. I have no idea what has happend here. Thanks for anything you can pass along to me.
