We had the baby for 6 months and she was returned to bio mother, however, we were asked if we were wanting to adopt 2 boys ages 3 & 4 about 4 months before the baby went back. We weren't ready for that. But after she went back to her bio mother we decided to meet the boys and committed to adopting them in July 2000. The baby girl came back to us in Aug 2000. So God definitely had other ideas. We had 3 kids in 2 months!!! Yikes...The boys were ready to be adopted but we weren't since a termination trial was going to occur with the little girl. We hired a lawyer to intervene in the termination and after a week long trial and appeal process, FINALLY, the baby girl is ready to be adopted too. Needless to say we almost had to sell the farm to pay the lawyers, $100,000 is the total legal fees involved, but somehow it will get paid. We consummated the boys adoption in March 2002 and the baby girl, now 2 yrs, in April 2002, exactly one month apart. We may be broke but we have 3 angels that God has allowed us to care for while here on earth and we are grateful...NOW IF WE COULD ONLY WIN THE LOTTERY. Good Luck in your pursuits of having a family. Email me if you'd like info on intervening in a termination or anything I may help you with. Don't let the price of intervening stop you from helping a child have a healthy nurturing life with you or someone you know.
