I agree strongly with you. I'm adopted and I have know idea if my mother had or has breast cancer, heart disease or anything that could jepordize my family in the long run.

I gave up my son(Patrick)for adoption,18yrs.ago !
I spoke to a social worker from the Catholic Soc.
Services, she said when he is 21---I could 'search'
(it would cost me $300)! As much as I would LOVE
to be reunited with my son---I felt that is VERY
insulting to charge ME that horrible amount ! I
told her I could only afford $25-50,absolutely
NO MORE than that---it probably only takes them
a few clicks of the 'mouse' to 'search' for my son !
$300---what a stinkin' crock !

Unfortunately, this petition is probably useless. Check out: Urban Legends Reference Pages: Inboxer Rebellion (Internet Petitions)
One of the many reasons they give that online petitions are of dubious value is that they're still circulating years after the originator starts them. The original post announcing this particular petition and starting this thread was made almost 8 years ago, in Jan of 1999. :(
