Child born in VT

To find out their adoptive name, go to the town clerk office in the town where they were born and ask to see birth certificates of children born on their date. This is legal. You may write to the office of vital statistics for a copy of the original birth certificate. You must send proof of your identity and only three dollars- only the birth mother has this right. If the file and the certificate #'s match-you have your childs name, the names of the adoptive parents and the address where they lived at the time the certificate was filed.
