Ok my husband and I are just starting the adoption journey and I was wondering if we should wait til we have our little one or if we can start the life book now to include the issues and how it came about? We are going through the state to do our adoption and hope to get a child under the age of 5. It would be neat in my eyes to see all that my "parents" went through to give me a stable loving home.
What are others opinions on this?

Wow, I never thought of that, but now that you mention it, I think that it would be a good idea to start a Life Book now. And, you know what, I am going to do that as well. My husband and I are currently waiting for an adoptive child as well (1 failed attempt so far..... :(). However, life goes on, and we were not meant to get this child. I don't know why, and it doesn't seem fair, but that's the way it is I guess.
Just remember to keep the book unisex/generic for now (no pink or blue!! :) ), and paste away!!!!!
Good luck and God bless,
Meghan

I have a section of my web site dedicated to lifebook tips and articles too!
For myself, I started the lifebooks for my kids before they were matched with me too. I didn't lay anything out on paper (I ended up doing them scrapbook-style) but I had all of the journaling already done and saved on my computer.
Good luck!
